McVittie Legal was established in 2008 to provide clients in Alstonville and the Northern Rivers with professional legal advice and services. McVittie Legal has a strong client focus and aim to deliver our services in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Janet and Deborah have worked together at McVittie Legal since opening in 2008. They have been partners in the practice since 2014. Together, they are committed to using their substantial legal knowledge and experience to help deliver the best possible results for their clients.
Janet McVittie
Janet McVittie is a partner in the firm and has practiced as a solicitor in this region since 2002. Janet is an Accredited Specialist in family law. Specialist Accreditation is recognition by the NSW Law Society that the solicitor has demonstrated expertise in a particular area of law. Janet has also completed a Master of Applied Law (Family Law) through the NSW College of Law.
Deborah Pickering
Deborah is a partner in the firm and, after admission in 2007, has practiced as a solicitor in this region since 2008. Deborah has completed a Master of Laws (Applied Law) majoring in wills and estates and family law.
